our dancer girl...almost- and lots of other news

We have had quite a week.  Jada was signed up for her first dance camp and she was SO excited.  We had been talking about it for weeks leading up to it.  She woke up Monday morning ready to put on her leotard, skirt and shoes...she couldn't wait!  When we arrived she was met with the loving "Aunt Suzanne" and of course was thrilled to see her.  But, when we went into the dance room there were lots of little 3 year olds very excited, it was a bit overwhelming for her.  No big deal, she got over it and sat in the circle to begin stretching with her friends.  I was of course among the other moms taking pics and tearing up at how precious our little ballerinas were.  Here are some pics to show you how cute the scene was...

Then, from no-where, the floodgates were opened and Jada began weeping as if she was caught in some strange form of ballet torture.  We talked and hugged and reasoned....but at 2 1/2 years of age, Jada just didn't want to begin her dance career!  Maybe her inner dancer will remain something that only comes out at home for another year, or maybe we can try again in the fall.
When asked how dance camp was, Jada will respond "not good...it's ok though."

MADYSON'S RECITAL!
We went to New Braunfels and visited Brian's family for a short trip to watch cousin Madyson perform in her recital.  She did great!  She totally knew her steps and was in the front and center...YAY Madyson!  We were all so proud of her.
BLAINE & SUZANNA
Also, we had a hang out day with some of our favorite kiddos...Blaine and Suzanna.  We all went swimming, ate bagel bites and snow cones and of course the girls blew bubbles while the boys played ball.  It was a great time together!  I love those twins!

GRAMMY'S VISIT
This weekend Grammy, Brian's mom, came in town to hang with Jada while we shot a wedding.  She was absolutely a Grammy's girl!  They had a blast just hanging together and playing.  We were so thankful to have a weekend with her too :)

OUR RANDOM PICTURE
The wedding we photographed this weekend took polaroids of all of the guests for their guest book (a new very fun wedding trend!)...and I took a pic of our polaroid for fun :)

THE MENNS VISIT
Our dear friends, the Menns, stopped in for a visit.  Cannon and Jada had a blast playing together and I loved seeing Hartlee growing so big!

KIVA NEWS
We had another ultrasound this week and everything is wonderful...and she is for sure a little girl.  She is super wiggly in my tummy now which I am really enjoying!  Isn't she cute :)

CRAFTS
Jada has been way into crafts lately.  We have been doing lots with glue, macaroni, glitter, markers, and stickers.  I will ask her what she wants to say and what pictures she wants...I do the glue and she does the glitter :)Here are some examples of our fun.
MOM AND MIKE
And news on my mom and Mike- their house finally sold in Spring/Woodlands!!!!  So they are officially free from two grueling house payments!  We are so grateful...and they are off vacationing this week in Florida with some old friends!
